Who We Are
About Us
Our Values
Northern Calibre was born from a passion for movement, combat, and storytelling. After graduating from drama school and moving up North, we struggled to find local stage combat workshops or fight performance training opportunities. We’ve decided to change that.
At Northern Calibre, we’re building a safe, accessible and dynamic space where anyone can explore the art of fight performance. Whether you’re a performer or a complete beginner seeking a unique challenge, we aim to give you a space to train, create and develop your skills.

Adaptive Training
Everyone learns differently. Whether you’re a visual learner, or need a step-by-step breakdown, we tailor our teaching to fit you. Our sessions blend structured techniques with real-world application so you master fight performance in a way that works best for you.
Realism & Theatricality
Some fight training leans too much into flashy choreography, or focuses purely on combat realism. We aim to bring the best of both worlds, ensuring every movement is visually striking, emotionally compelling, and technically sound.
Future-Focused
More than just skills, we want to prepare you for opportunities. Whether in theatre, film, or stunt work, our workshops equip you with industry-relevant, practical training. We also plan to create future opportunities for our students where possible.
But Who Are We?
